I've been swooning over Bleach London's Instagram for the past two months or so and after messing around with hair chalks I thought it was time to go for something a little more permanent - or semi permanent should I say! I'm not that brave yet!
I'd been eyeing up a few colours in boots and when I finally decided to take the plunge the products that I wanted happened to be on offer - Bonus! I picked up two of the super cool colours in Washed Up Mermaid and Violet Skies and miniature triple set called Aquamonious which included Sea Punk Blullini and Washed Up Mermaid.
The colours are only semi permanent, so if you're like me and worry that you might look like a complete idiot if it doesn't suit you, then these are perfect.
You apply them to washed hair that has been towel dried and application is really easy. It's just like any other hair dye, you just massage it into your hair to give it an even coverage. Now I wasn't dying my whole head so I tied my hair into pigtails and applied the dye to the bottom half.
The dye only needs to be left on your hear for 15 minutes and then you can wash it out. When I was rinsing out the colour I was surprised that the water wasn't totally blue, there was hardly any excess dye!
The only colour I've tried so far is Washed Up Mermaid the colour itself is really vibrant and stand outs, it a very nice turquoise colour, it does fade after a few washes, but you have to expect it when you're using semi-permanent dyes.
I'm going to top up my current colour for the next month or so and then give violet skies a whirl as I really liked my hair when I tried out a purple hair chalk.
